Those of you who know me and how I approach collaboration will appreciate that I am keen to start with people and process before getting in to technology.  However, over the past few months I've had the opportunity to become acquainted with a combination of technologies that I think are very, very exciting.  Specifically, the more I think about combining SharePoint with Nintex Workflow the more excited I become.

For those of you unfamiliar with Nintex Workflow the premise is simple.  Their product takes the Windows Workflow Foundation engine that is built into SharePoint and they make it very accessible and intuitive to use.  Those of you who have dug into configuring workflow within SharePoint Designer will likely have come away scratching their heads - so much potential, but the idea of leaving a client with a very macro'ish and clunky workflow solution never appeals to me.  If I install something with a client I feel an obligation to support it.  Thinking about supporting the default SharePoint workflow engine makes my teeth ache.

Nintex Workflow on the other hand has gotten my attention!  I plan on installing this technology as a part of our upcoming sandbox SharePoint environment. I look forward to sharing more details with you as my understanding grows.

What experiences do you have with Nintex Workflow in SharePoint?
