Following the success of eCBAS we were engaged by the CPSA to build a portal to support the assessment of Physician accreditation in Alberta.  Following configuration and a successful initial test the application is now being readied for roll out to all assessors.

Government of Alberta, Infrastructure

Collaboration Consulting Inc. was engaged to support the Government of Alberta Review (GAR) of Infrastructure.  Following this initial engagement we were brought back in to provide process improvement.  A SharePoint process portal was developed providing access to all Property Development process and related information. 

General Motors North America

We led the implementation and deployment of the Health & Safety Toolkit through SharePoint for North American manufacturing plants.  Collaboration Consulting Inc.’s role was as a subject matter expert on process analysis and improvement, and the implementation of the Process Portal methodology, bringing Six Sigma and SharePoint together.

 

University of Alberta

Collaboration Consulting Inc. was engaged to support the Department of Family Medicine in establishing the Competency Based Achievement System in an electronic form.  Leading the design of the electronic Competency Based Achievement System (eCBAS) we provided process improvement and SharePoint consulting to deliver a world-first in terms of supporting the building of a body of evidence to support the Advisor’s recommendation to certify Residents as medical doctors.

eCBAS is now being used throughout medical education facilities in Alberta as a part of supporting the training of Residents through medical school.  In addition, following a successful 9 month proof of concept and 4 months in production, eCBAS is now attracting worldwide attention in the medical educational establishment.  One user went so far as to express their satisfaction with the new system:

"I just wanted to drop a note to you regarding eCBAS - Greatest thing since sliced bread!!!!!!!!!  Easy and quick to use, it has removed the stress of field notes from the job as preceptor."

eCBAS has proven to be an effective combination of process engineering and information management for the SharePoint platform and includes the ability for participants in the competency assessment process to submit observations through mobile pocket devices, such as Blackberry’s and iPhones.
